Started around 1996 and ran until the 2001 season. Some good memories with this club, run by Steve Anderson.

Lowdham - Bingham Leisure Centre & Cotgrave Leisure Centre
Used to play at this club in 1988.  Club nights were on a Saturday evening, but they don’t seem to exist anymore.  They used to regulary get 20-30 people per club night!

St Martins Badminton Club - St Martins Church Hall, Sherwood
Its not strictly true to say St Martins no longer exists as it changed names to Sherwood Mount (thus cunningly retaining the initials SMBC) after the 1981/2 season.  This was because they had to leave the St Martins Church Hall venue.  Sherwood Mount is still going and has just had to change venue again.  After 20 years at St Johns Community Hall the neighbours suddenly started to notice the noise, which meant we weren't allowed to play after 11pm.  With only one court this meant matches would often not be completed so from the start of this season we are playing at the Nottingham Girls High School.
