Mixed Fortunes for Masters Teams

Nott's Masters over 45s and 60s Teams played Worcestershire on their Home courts at Chilwell Olympia, while the 55s 1st Team travelled to Yorkshire on Sunday 26th January.

The 45s having now overcome their injury problems, won all four Mens, two Ladies and three Mixed rubbers resulting in a 9-3 win - a good all round team performance. They now move up to 2nd position in the Midlands League - one point behind League leaders Derbyshire.
The team next play Shropshire at Home on February 9th.

The 55s 1st Team had a tough match against League leaders Yorkshire in the North division. Nott's fought hard but were unable to overcome the overall strength of the Home side. Yorkshire were pushed hard - three Mens matches and 1st Mixed were all taken to three sets to no avail. The final result, a 12-0 win to Yorkshire.
The team next play the return match against Cheshire at Home on February 2nd, when they hope to improve on their 9-3 loss on their previous encounter.

The 60s proved to be too strong for Worcestershire's 2nd Team when they won two Mens, three Ladies and three Mixed rubbers to gain an 8-4 victory and move to third position in the Midlands League behind Worcestershire 1st and Leicestershire.
Jacqui Burton and Pauline Adams were both unbeaten in the match. Playing together in the Ladies, Jacqui with Mixed partner Ian Price and Pauline with Mike Nettleton.
Their next match is Away against Leicestershire on February 9th.
