55s 1st unlucky against Cheshire

Nott's Masters over 55s 1st Team fought a close contest on 2nd February when they entertained Cheshire on their Home courts at Chilwell Olympia.

Having won three Mens and two Ladies matches they were up by 5-3 after the level doubles, wanting one Mixed to draw the match or two to gain an outright win.
1st, 3rd and 4th Mixed all lost in two straight sets. However Adrian Mateo and Sally Moore, playing at 2nd Mixed, were so close to gaining the draw after winning the 1st set 21-17, then losing the 2nd 22-24, they lost 17-21 in the third.
The final result - a win to Cheshire by 7-5.
The team next play League leaders Yorkshire on 16th February at Home.
