Semi-final agony for Notts pair

Notts pair Anthony Clark and Nathan Robertson suffered an agonising defeat in the semi-finals of the Djarum Indonesia Open in Jakarta.

They looked on course to book their final place as they led 17-13 and 19-16 in the deciding game against unseeded Fang Chieh Min and Lee Sheng Mu.

But the Taipei pair hit back to draw level at 19-19 before going on to win on their second match point 15-21, 21-9, 22-20.

It had all started so well for the six-times national champions as they took the opening game but their opponents hit back to force a nail-biting decider.

At least the England pair have shown that they are running into form in the countdown to the World Championships in Paris in late August.
